Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

Asking for assistance. I have the deco e4 for 6months now and it's been wonderful. However, my internet speed was recently upgraded to 800 mbps from 75mbps. So having only the E4 bottlenecks me via wifi or LAN.

Im planning to purchase one M5 or M4 which has gigabit ports as the main router and the other 3 E4s will be satellites 🛰️.  Question is, the wifi backhaul would be already gigabit with the E4s correct? since e4 can go up to 1200 via AC. so if i will perform a speedtest, all notes would be close to 800mbps?

Hoping to get a definite answer and help from you guys.

With M5/M4/E4, you should realistically expect up to 500Mbps on Main Deco and about half of that, meaning 250Mbps, on Satellite Deco. In theory, you could get up to 867Mbps on WiFi5 on Main Deco, but this is in an ideal lab conditions.

Whatever you'll actually get on Main Deco, your Satellite Deco speed will be approximately half of that.
