Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.11.0 Build 220425 Rel.43193n(4555)

I have 4x Archer C80s in a big house because there are thick walls and poor wifi reception. They are configured as access points and are linked using Powerlines to the broadband router.

I want to use OneMesh because at the moment as you move around the house laptops/phones do not change access points without manual intervention. I tried to configure up one C80 as a router to get OneMesh running, but could not get a combination of settings that ever worked. The built in auto setup wizard did not work.

Do you have instructions on how to do this please?

@Wilson_1000

Currently, the OneMesh router can only be combined with OneMesh RE or OneMesh PLC to build Mesh networks, it doesn't support Onemesh between routers.

If you just bought the Archer C80s, it's suggested to return them and buy our Deco to enjoy the Deco mesh, you can connect two or three Decos to the broadband router and configure the main Deco in AP mode, leaving the others connected to the main Deco via Wi-Fi, and they will build and create a mesh network for you.

Please be aware that there will be a new feature called EasyMesh added to the TP-Link routers and range extenders in the near future, which will allow you to build a mesh network between two routers wirelessly.
