Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Latest

Hello,

I just buy the Deco X60 (3 kit). It's a V3 version.

First thing I did, it's update the firmware, so i'm running the latest available on the 3 satellites.

My network:

I want to use all satellites in AP mode with ethernet backhawl, so I activated it from the Deco App => OK.
My DHCP server is handle by my router.

The master satellite is in the office, no issue at all when only this one is connected, solid green, I can see it gets his IP from my DHCP router.

Then I plugged in the two others, one in bedroom and the other in the living room but it's not working...
I can see my DHCP server assign an IP, and I can see it in the app (when I can connect... because network is a mess at this moment)

It looks like it mess up my entire network. Internet is very slow when it works, satellites keeps blinking red to solid green in loop.

When I plugged the two slaves satellites in daisy chain from the master, it seems to work, but no usable in my case, i need to have my AP in different room...
I'm sure all my ethernet cable work great, and all my ethernet socket works great too (tested with a computer)

I notice when all are plugged, there is a massive activity on the network (all activity LEDs on my swicth are blinking as fast as possible)

The first switch is TPLINK T1500G-10PS, the second in office it's regular gigabit D-link switch (DGS-1008D)
I tried to connect all satellites to the Dlink switch too, but same, it's not working.

What's wrong ?

If no solution, i will have to return :(

Ok, so it's working great now on the 3 satellites with the bypass  => Dlink switch BEHIND the X60 on port 2 and port 1 to the tplink switch directly which handle IEEE 1905.1 protocol)

Thank you for your help !

Hi, May I know the model number of your network switch?

I think the Ethernet backhaul of Deco might trigger the loop detection of your switch.

For more details, please refer to this link:

General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco Q5+Q6

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Hi, I hope you could unplug the Dlink switch and connect all 3*Deco X60 to T1500G-10PS, then temporarily turn off loop detection under web UI>L2 features>Loop detection >the 3 LAN ports that are connected to 3*Deco X60.

If the loop detection hasn't been enabled, we can leave it alone.

By the way, May I know the model number of your main DHCP router?

  @David-TP

I think you may have right, I tried to connect all Deco on my TPlink switch and all are now solid green, and no issue on the network (Dlink switch is still running)

I can't find the option to check the loop detection on the webui on the Tplink switch ? (it's  a V1 one)

My DHCP server is handle by a Ubiquiti ER4.

What do you think if I connect the X60 in the office, before the switch ?
I mean port 1 direct from tplink switch, and then In port 2 I connect my DLINK switch ?

  @qwrty_ftw

Thanks for the update.

We used to get the feedback that Dlink switch could not deal with IEEE 1905.1 protocol which is used for Ethernet backhaul on Deco. And it would be a nice choice to move Dlink switch behind Office Deco X60.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Thx, i will try this temporally bypass with the DLINK switch behind the Deco X60 and see what happened.

Can you confirm TL-SG1005D or TL-SG1008D are IEEE 1905.1 ready ?
If yes I will change my dlink switch by one of this two.
