Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 Build 20230511 Rel. 67294

is this a known issue with Deco x50 mesh networks (3 access points)? Unable to connect HP printer to the network. It does not work on 2.4ghz or the guest network and only works when plugged in directly via Ethernet cable (which defeats the purpose of wireless.

The printer can see the network has all the appropriate passwords but fails to join.

Why won’t deco x50 allow the printer to join?

any assistance would be greatly app

tried almost everything apart from buying a different product

Have you tried connecting printer to the following:

Guest network: 2.4GHz only, no password

------

If that does not work, repeat the same but with one more addition:

Guest network: 2.4GHz only, no password;

Power off all Satellite Deco, leaving just Main Deco. Have printer close enough to Main Deco to get WiFi signal from it.

In this setup you don't even have a mesh, just single WiFi router named Main Deco. If printer still can't connect, look for help from HP forums for "Cannot connect HP Printer to WiFi router."

So the 2nd option works. But fails again when you turn on the remaining 2 mesh pods. So deco x50 is currently not fit for purpose 1. Leave on deco main pod. Printer will connect to the network 2. Turn on mesh pod #2. Printer will get kicked off the network and won’t return until pod#2 is turned off. (Same with pod #3) So deco cannot hold a printer on its mesh network Any advice? The main pod lives next to NBN entry point (in the kitchen) . The printer lives in the office (the furthest point away from the kitchen.

Hi, please also try to turn off "fast roaming" and "beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

May I know the model number of your HP printer?

Best regards.
