Model: Deco X50-5G
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: latest

Hi,

I have a X50-5G running 5G internet connection, WAN over WiFi works fine and my UDM pro gets an IP from Deco and I can also ping the Deco but WAN traffic is not being routed from and to all 3 LAN ports. Any ideas?

Is all the LAN ports going via the UDM Pro?  Or how does that fit into the setup you have?

My guess, its an IP addresssing issue.   WiFi clients will get addresses from the Deco, if you have LAN on the UDM, that could be the issue

No, only one LAN port is used, UDM pro is configured to get an IP address assigned by DHCP from X50-5G.

I already tried changing the LAN ports, no difference. The UDM gets an IP address and I can ping the X50-5G from the UDM but I don't get an internet connection.

WiFi clients work fine.

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.

Have you tried to unplug UDM pro from Deco X50-5G and test the same Ethernet port on the laptop to see whether you could get internet access from the laptop?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Yes, same behaviour. Laptop gets local IP from Deco. Gateway and Subnet are correctly set, DNS is 9.9.9.9./ 8.8.8.8, I can ping the Deco, but no internet on all LAN ports. WiFi is working correctly. There's one thing I don't understand, if standard address range is 192.168.68.0/24 why is the subnet set to 255.255.252.0 in the Deco LAN settings?

  @fbkreon

Thanks for getting back to me.

I see there are 3 Ethernet ports on Deco X50-5G and if you are using SIM carrier service, all 3 ports would be used as LAN ports. Did all three of them fail to provide internet service?

Actually, the standard LAN IP range of Deco is 192.168.68.0/22, so the subnet mask is not the usual 255.255.255.0.

By the way, have you enabled any IPTV VLAN settings on the Deco APP?

So far, I am not sure what might be the problem and could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com (please add forum ID 619556) with the following information:

1. the DHCP IP settings on the laptop when it is wired to the Deco.

2. Some screenshots of the ping test result to the main Deco.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

1. I checked all LAN ports, all with same behaviour. 2. I didn't find IPTV setting in the App so far, where is it?

Hi, Thank you very much for the update and I also got your emails.

You could find the IPTV settings under Deco APP>More>Advanced>IPTV/VLAN.(It should remain disabled if not needed)

And I see a new firmware for Deco X50-5G has been released yesterday. Could you please try to manually update this firmware to see whether it helped:

Deco X50-5G(EU)_V1_1.1.0 Build 20230804

Wait for your reply and best regards.

There's no IPTV option in my Deco APP. I updated to the latest FW but it no change in behaviour.
