Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 3.5.27

Updated M5 to firmware 1.7.1 and lost all settings.

 

Anybody else have the same issue?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

What precisely do you mean by "all the settings"? Are you referring to situations where, after a firmware upgrade, the internet continues to function but specific advanced settings, such as Parental Control and Address Reservation, appear to have been reset?

Do you still remember your original firmware version?

Hi David

 

All settings were lost i.e. network names, passwords, names of kids for parental control, names of M5 units etc. The only remaining info was the administrator names and bizarrely, the PW for the guest network.

 

The solution was to do a reset, add the M5 units, create new primary & guest networks & re-install the setings.

 

Seems to be fine now, although guest network seems a bit iffy

 

Don't know what the original firmware version was unfortunately. That was a good while ago! Previous firmware would have been the previous release, as I always keep it updated. Curently on 1.7.1 Build 20230608 Rel. 74023
