Model: Archer C55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 3.16 v0001.0 Build 170614 Rel.32665n

Greetings
I recently thought of bringing my old tplink router back to life when I needed wired internet for some of my devices

I connected the tplink router to the root router via WDS and was able to use the LAN ports successfully.

But the issue with this was that the LAN port are 100mbit/s , this is when I came across people configuring the WAN port as a nornal LAN
On this I consulted the manual and there was an option to use the WAN as a normal LAN (Image attached)
So can any of the smart folk here help me with this and whether it would be possible or not
I also considered OpenWRT but unfortunately this router is not supported

When using WDS on Archer C55 you can't use its gigabit WAN port to connect a LAN device because the C55 is still in router mode.

Archer C55 has an access point mode though and its gigabit WAN port can be used for an uplink to the main router - details (Case 1).

  @terziyski

But I am already using the router in WDS mode and I am able to access the lan ports
It is not possible for me to physically connect both the routers. I want to know how to repurpose the WAN port as a regular LAN port

Hi, as @terziyski mentioned, when using WDS on Archer C55, it is still on router mode thus the Gigabit WAN Port acts as WAN port only and cannot be used as LAN port.

  @Sunshine

So is there a way to use the WAN port as LAN port without physically connecting the two routers ??

No, there's no way to do that when using WDS.
