Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.3

Hello

I have a set of 3 pcs X20 Decos in my house.
All working with Fiber 250 MBits - using WPA3 and Dual band.
For ~50 IoT devices I am using the special IoT network with WPA2 and 2.4Ghz.
Around 100 devices in sum. Not all are online at the same time - around 45-60 devices are online at the same time.

Only some devices in my cellar have only 1 bar of WiFi signal. They work - but I thought a 4th Mesh could be optimal for better coverage.

So I bought one.

As soon as I add the 4th Mesh and reboot the whole network goes bonkers: 2-3 Meshes are always shown offline, most of my IoT devices get no connection, sometimes when connecting to the IoT network by phone it shows "no internet connection".

As soon as I delete the 4th Mesh and reboot everything's fine again.

Also using the 4th Mesh as a standalone network seems to work. Normal WiFi as well as the IoT one.

Update: Deleting an existing Mesh of the 3 devices and replacing it with the new one also works. So it seems the X20-limit seems to be a maximum of 3.

Are the X20 limited to a maximum of 3 Meshes?!

Kind regards

StA

...so it seems not-daisychaining is the key.

If I set up automatically I have mentioned errors and flaws and a not usable WiFi

If I setup all Meshes connecting to the main-Mesh, no problems.

@TP-Link please can you fix this! Seems another user also has issues with daisychain.

So the X20 seems a outdated device then...?
