Model: Archer AX58
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20230607 rel.39033

Hello,

I bought an Archer AX58 router (on the ground floor) which is in V1. I have two RE700X repeaters (upstairs) connected via Ethernet to the router.

I can activate the easymesh function on the return but I don't see anything on the repeaters. I can't add them.

Do you have a solution ?

Where will this version take the Ethernet Backhaul ?

Sorry for the translation, I am French.

Thanks

@terziyski Thank you for your answers.
Should I exchange the AX58 for another like the AX53?

Or if you have any suggestions?

You could do that and echange for AX53, or AX55 if you want to use the ethernet backhaul immediately.

On the other hand probably AX58 would receive a FW upgrade that will implement this feature as well.

RE700X doesn't support an etehernet backhaul, only wireless - that's the reason for your issue.

The only RE which supports an ethernet backhaul for now is RE315.

@terziyski I have a RE700X repeater and a RE705X repeater. I will wait for the firmware update, in order to benefit from the ethernet backhaul.

Instead of my repeaters upstairs, I could put an Archer AX58 router as an access point. will the mode ethernet backhaul work?

I doubt that because AX58 most probably doesn't support an etehrnet backhaul as well - see the list or routers s that support this fetaure.
