Model: TL-MR6500v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Has anyone had experience with the TL-MR6500v using a VoIP landline (TalkTalk Digital Voice in my case).

When the telephony option is set for VoLTE, I can get the SIM making calls ok, but now I'm trying to get the VoIP connection working.

I've found that with the VoIP option selected, then it is no longer possible to receive calls over the SIM.

I'm hoping I've missed something, as I was expecting incoming calls from either the SIM or VoIP would be accepted.

Also with no LAN input connected I was expecting it to failback to VoLTE from VoIP.

I was expecting this because a lady on the chat-line said that it would.

I have the data failback to 3G/4G enabled, but can see no equivalent failback option for telephony.

It appears, to me at least, that once VoIP is selected, the SIM telephony is useless.

Would appreciate anyone's views on this.

Hi, you are correct, the 3G/4G Backup is only for internet, telephony service doesn't support fallback, you could use only one telephony service, either VoIP or VoLTE.

Hi, thanks for your reply, it's good to get a second take on it. It's a pity though, it feels like it's doing half the job and negates what I bought it for. Will I ever learn? Cheers.
