Hello,

I understand that 5G NSA requires 4G to function, thus TPLINK has decided to disable band lock.

However, i hope TPlink can add the ability to lock 4G band in future releases.

Here's a little problem.

My Provider has both 4G LTE service and 5G NSA service.

On the 4G service, my provider uses B5,B38,B40

On the 5G NSA service, my provider uses B28/N78.

Those 2 services are non related and non interchangeable.

Sometimes my router mistakenly connects to B40 instead of B28, thus causing me to lose 5G connection and internet.

My plan doesn't allow 4G data. When the router connects to B40,  my data will stop.

I need a way to lock 4G band to B28 only,  so that the router will always find the B28/N78 combination for 5G Nsa.

It gets annoying sometimes, the router locks onto B5,b38, or b40 which is not part of my 5G plan.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

May I know who is your SIM carrier? Do you have any purchase/introduction links for your 5G SIM plan?

I came across some feedback regarding the 5G stability on Deco X50-5G earlier. I'm curious whether this could be one of factors contributing to the 5G instability.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  ZTE MC801A AND ZTE MC8020

Allow band lock on 4G, 5G SA and 5G NSA.

Once the 4G band is locked to B28,  the 5G connection is very stable.

It will not lock on to B40.
