Open vpn in Pppoe only allows lan to connect to VPN not wan
I was working on creating a vpn server of my own to access my LAN from anywere i was given the PPPOE internet service from my ISP but the problem is i was able to create a open vpn which allows me to use SMB while on the vpn which was my main goal but it seems that i cannot connect to the VPN outside of lan it only connects to vpn if i am in my local area network i suspect it has something to do with port traffic of my ISP put on my PPPOE any help and suggestions for to fix this is much appreciated. First make sure your ISP is assigning a public IPv4 address to your Internet connection, because if that was not the case, then we don't need to do further troubleshooting.
So, log into your Archer C60 and verify that the Internet IP address shown on the status page does not fall within the following segments, because these are not public IPv4 addresses.
10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
100.64.0.0 - 100.127.255.255
