Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I have a somewhat different setup:

WAN is connected to a router with it's wifi disabled.

I have 3 Deco M5 configured in AP-mode

1st (primary) M5 is connected to router via ethernet (at the far end of my house).

2nd M5 is connected to router via ethernet (at the other end of my house).

3rd M5 is connected to 2nd M5 via wifi (in the garage 5 m from 2nd)

Problem:

Incoming internet speed is substantially lower when connected to 2nd M5:

WAN: 250 mbit/s

1st: 250 mbit/s

2nd: 50 mbit/s

Any idea of what could be the cause?

  @Kengu

Welcome to the community.

Have you checked whether the 2nd Deco M5 works properly on the Ethenret Backhual over the Deco APP, such as:

It is also suggested to replace the Ethernet Cable between the ISP router and 2nd Deco to see whether it helped.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP  thanks for helping out.
It's now working fine after a few hours of moving around cables and Decos. I have found that a few ports on my switch are defect. Unfortunately it also seems like one of my Sonos Audio Units that was connected to ethernet created the issue. So now when the Sonos Amp is unplugged, I have maximum speed on all Decos!
