I have a mesh system with several Deco M4R's connected in AP-mode to my router with a wired main-M4R, and wireless to the other M4R's. I added a Deco X50-Outdoor to the system for improving Wifi connection outside.  I have 2 questions:

1. I received a message that I have to make the X50 the main Deco to improve performance of the network. Now the deco X50 outdoor is a slave to the wired Deco M4R in the house. Do I have to wire the X50 outside to make it the main Deco. What if I leave it like it is.

2. I received a message that the X50 Outdoor needs a firmware-update.  What will happen to the M4R nodes when I install the update through my Deco app. Will the M4R's stay untouched.?
