I have a Deco X50 with a Smarty Sim card unlimited Data, Voice and text package. I am receiving 4G from local Mast which gives me good download and upload speed.

I have an alarm system for the house and an analogue speech dialer to inform me when the alarm is triggered. 

To overcome the problem of no landline I have purchased a Linksys Internet phone adapter VOIP. and connected to the phone and Deco X50. I have assigned it a permanent IP address on the Deco X50 I have all the green lights showing activity on the VOIP converter.

I have configured the converter to use the assigned IP address but still not making any call connections. I have written to Smarty my service provider and they are suggesting it's down to the deco/converter.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you overcome this issue?

Hi, welcome to the community.

Is your model Deco X50-5G?

Under the Smarty SIM card unlimited Data, Voice, and text package, the included voice service should be VOLTE.

While the Phone Adapter for Linksys uses VOIP service. They are both voice communication services(What is the difference between VoIP and VoWiFi?). I think you have a paid VOLTE service but there is no VoIP provider.

 

Alarm Diallers (Speech/GSM)

Speech Dailer: You need a home landline

GSM Diallers: the Smarty Sim package seems working under this kind of situation.
