Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0

Hello all,

I purchased the MR600 exactly one year ago to be the main wifi router for my home. I have an unlimited data plan without any restrictions. The router is has a clear view of the cell tower from my window where the router is, and I'm getting full 4g signal.

When I setup the router, I was getting consistent 90-100mbs of download speeds and my iPhone 15 Plus on 4g does 130-200mbs which is normal considering the faster iPhone chip.

The thing is that suddenly a few months ago the speed dropped to a barely 10-20mbs and it has stayed that way ever since. I though it had to do with the area but on the same location my phone still gets 130mps whereas the router still 10-20mbs. I have reseted the router to factory settings, I have tried selecting specific bands, I have moved it around the house, and basically every other troubleshooting step out there but nothing is working. On the same location I can get 1.000mbs with 5g from my iPhone.

Should I contact the seller and get a replacement, has this ever happened to you? Or should I just go and get a 5g router at one point?

Thank you!

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

May I confirm the SIM cards in the router and your iPhone are from same ISP and totally the same?

If you have followed suggestions in this guide, it is suggested to put swap the SIM cards between the router and your iPhone to confirm whether it is the same result (testing via www.speedtest.net).
