Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

I noticed your model number is Deco XE5300_V1.6. A new 1.4.5 was released a few days ago and could you please manually update to this version to see whether it helps:

By the way, do you also have a lot of smart home devices(how many?) that are connected to the IOT network?

Did the Ping loss, timed out and spikes x50 issue you commented on mainly occur to the 2.4GHz band?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi, Thanks for the update.

I'm afraid the reply here is not you. But your reply did add more details about the reported issue.

I'd like to escalate your case to the senior engineers for further assistance. Please check whether you can receive the email later.

Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks, I really appreciate that. Just another comment. Because of the problem I bought two more units. Part of the problem was solved, but, the sinal strenght is still very weak.

Re:Deco X50 with very poor connection on 2.4 GHz
Wednesday

Hello everyone reading this message.

Following my inquiry, I received support from the senior team. They informed me that the excessive number of devices connected to my 2.4GHz network is the root cause of the issue. My network currently comprises approximately 50 devices, with 30 of them being IoT devices that exclusively support the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection.

With this revelation, I have come to the conclusion that TP-Link is not a reliable company for Wi-Fi routers. Consequently, I have decided to return the four Deco X50 routers I purchased and seek a more reputable router from a different company.

I sincerely hope your issue is resolved. However, I strongly advise you to also purchase from a more reputable company.
