I am having the well-known internet drop issues and want to switch a different unit to main for testing. The Deco app has a cloud backup option but I can not see anyplace to actualy use this to restore settings. Any help (on either issue actually) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Instead of replacing a new main Deco, I hope you can install the latest 1.4.5 beta firmware:
(Update firmware will also reserve the current network settings)
Deco APP Frequently Showing "0 Online Clients"
Wait for your reply and best regards.
Using the app, you can promote a satellite to main, or add a new Deco as main.
That will preserve the configuration.
