X50 issues with latest Firmwsres
X50 issues with latest Firmwsres

After latest FW Updates i got the folliwing issues:
1. After hard restart the app works well for a couple of hours only. After that I have the following issues:
- the list of devices is not up-to-date
- no traffic speed is shown
- cannot check SW version
- cannot perform soft restart
...
2. With former furmwares the connections were very stable, the decos ran months long without need to restart. now connection drops very often, even the deco restart is scheduled for every day.
The decos run in access point mode. WLAN router is FritzBox. The mesh-network consists of 3x Deco X50 and 2x Deco P7

Hi, Thanks for the update.
Have you tested the 1.6.4 beta?
In the past few weeks, there was some feedback about the latest Deco APP versions. If your current Deco APP is 3.9.9 for IOS or 3.9.22 for Android, please also install the APP versions here:
Deco App and Internet disconnection
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
It is suggested to install the latest 1.6.4 beta firmware here to see whether it helps:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/736386
After that, Have you noticed any Deco turn red during the disconnection?
Can I have some screenshots of the Deco network map, such as:

hey David,
short update. First of all I let the decos running without resets. Two times I get situations when after 3-4 days the connection was very unstable. Reset helped. After I configure automatic resets every day overnight - it looks pretty good.
best regards!

today the Decos got mad again:
1. Network was unstable (the phones lost connection permanently)
2. Reset did not help.
3. If I connect to FRITZ!Box directly, the internet works fine.
here are the screenshorts.

Hi, is your Deco APP up to date, like 3.9.12 for IOS and 3.9.23 for Android?
May I know how many devices are connected to Deco? Would there be a lot of smart devices?
Later, I'd like to follow up on your case via email. Please check whether you can receive my email.
By the way, please also refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log:
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

hey David,
The App version is 3.9.12 (iOS).
Usually there are 10 smart devices connected, 2 of them are wired.
i have received an email from support. Should just reply to it next time?
How old are the logs to be sent? I mean should I send'em at the moment I have a problem or if I had an issue today in the morning, can I create a report with logs in the evening?
BR,
Pavel

Hi, Thanks for the update.
It would be better to submit the Deco APP log as soon as possible.
I'm not quite sure how long the logs will be saved, but 2-3 days would be fine. So it is ok for you to report the log at the end of the day.
By the way, have you tried to remove Deco P7 from the Mesh system and leave the 4*Deco X50 units to see whether it improves the network stability?
Please also disable "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

hey David,
Today the problem happened again - I sent logs to support as suggested.
i will disable "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" as a next step and observe whether it helps.
I cannot remove all P7 since one of them is used as an access point for two wired smart home gateways (hue and homematic).

Paffka
