Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20250804 rel.79639(5553)

Hi, From administration I have blocked other user from accessing the router's address 192.168.0.1   But if any one connected through VPN, he/She able to access router's login page and if know the password will be able to access the router also. How Can I block this such condition? Note that, I wont stop the VPN the server, but want to make sure VPN user will not able to access my router's login page.

Thanks

Use the Local Management drop-down menu on the Administration page to limit the local access to the router WebGUI and test:

If you still have issues, post a screenshot after you add a specified devices in the local management.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".

Hi,

MAC addresses are not transferred across different networks. Or in other words, there is no way for the BE3600 to know the MAC addresses of devices on the other side of the VPN.

TP-Link needs to change the firmware to block all VPN clients from accessing the router's admin page when "Specified Devices" is selected for Local Managers.
