Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.1 Build 20240722 Rel. 60491

My network yesterday started not working - units wouldn't come online or connect, despite multiple reboot and power off and on.

Occasionally would temporarily connect and be online, but throuputs were very very low (unusable) but then would disconnect again.

Also hub units wouldn't be connected either etc. I've tried rebooting my ISP connection as well as swapping physical cables, nothing works. It was working ok until yesterday.

On research, it seems my 1.4.x firmware is extremely unstable.

Can you please give me a direct link to download a more stable version, eg- 1.2.14 ?

ps - this is on top of another problem, where one ethernet port on my main router won't even work which is a hardware problem

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the community. Thanks for the message.

How many Deco XE75 do you have? Are they connected to the Mesh network via WiFi or Ethernet Backhaul?

Or can you send me some screenshots of the network map on the Deco App, such as:

Are the smart home devices mainly dropping out of the WiFi network?

-If yes, I left a message with a beta firmware for Deco XE75_v1_1.4.1. Please help me test whether the beta firmware helps.

@David-TP I have 3 units. They are connected via Ethernet cable backhaul I believe. All devices are having trouble connecting, not just smart home. Example, my Dell laptop etc.

Can I check, does the beta software contain the fixes for the network disconnection/instability problem specifically?

Because I seen others on 1.4.5 also having this issue.

Canyou provide the older stable version I requested as well? (before all the network instability issues started)

Thanks

Simon

I upgraded to the beta firmware, still same situation. Unstable connection, extremely slow internet speed when it does connect, and will drop often.

Please provide the earlier, stable software.

Hi, thank you very much for the update.

Would Deco turn red/flashing red when the Deco App reported "Unable to connect Deco"?

It is also recommended to set a different Deco XE75 as the main Deco:

How to replace the main Deco with another Deco

Do you have a spare router provided by the ISP? So far, it can't exclude the possibility that the instability might be related to the ISP service.

-If yes, I think you can consider setting the old router as the DHCP server and setting Deco into Access Point mode.

By the way, I saw you also contacted the technical support. Firmware 1.2.12/14 versions are for V2 and V3. And 1.4.1 Build 20240722 Rel. 60491 has been released for about 1 year. The reported issue is unlikely to be caused by the current software.

If a different Deco or AP mode didn't make any difference, I think you can check with the technical support whether the Deco is still under warranty and can be replaced.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.
