Yes, it has only one Ethernet port. But to connect a switch to it, you would have to use the Ethernet port at the PoE injector labeled LAN, not the PoE line.

Yes, this is normal behavior. Rates need not to be constant over the time and if throughput doesn't drop, everything is o.k.
