HS200 : Turn on multiple switches by turning a switch on OR add tp-link KASA in "this" section IFTTT
Hello,
I am really surprised that I can't turn on another light while switching on a light (example in bathroom to turn on 2 HS200 by pressing just one : light and fan).
Or launching a scene by pressing on a HS200 switch
Or using TP LINK KASA in "THIS" section if IFTTT (if this light is on then turn on another light).
Any way or idea??? R&D development maybe?
thank you so much

Hi,
Can you do that with your old two way switch?
You may need to wire those two switches together, but I don't recommend you do that unless you've done that before with electrician.

Hello!
I was not but I would be able to.
I was more thinking about a smart home feature... The app knows when a light is turned on or off so why not being able to catch this and trigger other effects?

@Kevin_Z completely agree with @Shablam. What's the point of overpaying for kasa light switches if they deliver the same functionality as the regular switches for $1.50/piece?
I do have a real use case: I have light1 (outdoor light) connected to switch1, and light2 (outdoor pole light) connected to switch2. Lights and/or switches are not connected with each other. I want to "connect" them, meaning if I turn on or off one of the switches I want both lights to be turned on/off. It's like having 3-way switch without a need to run a wire... A lot of people would buy kasa if it has this ability. I know it's possible to create a group in the app, but that wouldn't change the reaction of pressing the switch.

Update: it is possible to turn kasa switch on and off by pressing a button on another kasa switch. Everything is controlled in the app under smart actions. But having kasa in if section of ifttt would be beneficial.

Ah yes, "Smart Actions": The thing so many of use expect to use when we buy, only to find out you can only have 3 active at one time.
Yea, lets just call "Smart Actions" the fail that they are.
