NC450 Forgot the admin password
Hello!
My Father uses a NC450 and he forgot the admin password. Is there a way to reset the NC450, so it uses the standard admin / admin password?
Couldn´t find anything with google...

Hello, how to reset it: With the camera powered on, press and hold the WPS/Reset button (for more than 5 seconds) until the System LED turns off. Then release the button and wait the camera to reset to its factory default settings.

thanks! i did that before but the password don´t reset. if i do it, it starts to look for new cameras and if i want to choose the camera, i need to type in a password... that my father dont have anymore. To press the button for 5 seconds dont reset the password.

After you reset it, you need reconfigure the camera, and you can create another username and password, not the old one anymore. https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-821.html

In step5, it asks you to enter a NEW password to access the camera, cause we have reset it, it won't be the original password which you forgot anymore.
So please ensure that you reset it successfully and then follow the instruction to configure it.

Did you try to create another new password after hard reset? , not admin anymore, it can be anything actually. If it still does not work, what is the error message?

I have a similar issue, I have a NEW NC450, Im trying to set it up, the app is asking for a password to connect to the camera. I typed "admin" but it says password is incorrect. I reset it (held the WPS button for more than 5 seconds until light turned off). I tried adding it again in the app and it is asking for a password again.

First, you can close the tpCamera app and then re-open it;
If still the same, you can login to the web interface of the camera to configure it. Below is the instruction:

Besides, you can change another smart phone to install the app and give it a go.
