Camera doesnt record
My KC120 does not record any motions or send me notifications. I can see in the app that ”activity is detected xx min ago” but nothing is recorded. How can I fix this?

Please remove the magnetic housing to see the RESET button.Then press and hold for over 15 seconds to reset it.
Then try to reconfigure it and verify whether it works well.

It’s not the hardware..
Today I received an email welcoming me to kasa cam. Then all of a sudden I started receiving notifications. Clips are now showing in the activity center. But the clips are not playable, they are just showing -30:-8 in the timeline.
However if I record manually, the clips are playable as they should be.

What do you mean that the detected clip is not playable? Is it just spinning or it is a blackscreen?

If I record manually it works perfectly. This problem only occurs when the camera records automatic.
