Model: HS100
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have 4 hs100s connected via kasa and Alexa

They work great, however I have an issue with my tplink modem archer vr900 which occasionally hangs the 2.4 WiFi

When I reboot the WiFi the hs100s never reconnect. I have to manually power them off and on

It's a real pain

Any ideas

Btw, I suspect the plugs are hanging the 2.4 WiFi as it didn't happen before the plugs were configured but it may be a coincidence

@Alick

What about the hardware version and firmware version of the HS100? Do they have the same issue?

What is the led status of the HS100 when they lost connection?

Please ensure that the firmware is up to date and try to customize the wireless settings of the Archer VR900  to optimize the wireless performance, including wireless channel and channel width.

Besides, you can try to setup a static IP for the HS100 via address reservation.

Best regards.

@Kevin_Z Thanks for your response

I have given the HS100s dedicated IP addresses and the problem of 2.4 network hanging is not as frequent, perhaps a couple of times a week

The plugs all are

Hardware version 2.0

Firmware version 1.5.8

when the wifi network is rebooted (as disabling and re-enabling 2.4 wifi, causes the VR900 to reboot completely)

not all the HS100s reconnect, (wifi led on plug not green) occasionally

I have to power them off and on to reconnect to wifi

@Alick

Have you ever tried to change their locations to plug them?

If possible, you can change another wireless network to do a comparison test.

Or you can hard reset the VR900 and the HS100 to give it a go.

Note: After you reset the VR900, you need set it up to get internet  unless you back up and restore the configuration file.

Good day.
