Implemented Tapo C200 ONVIF PTZ
Hi All,
I recently purchased a Tapo C200 Pan/Tilt Home Security WiFi Camera, and I can connect via ONVIF to the RTSP streams, as per the instructions available here:
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/2680/
However, I have tried several different third-party surveillance software and I seem to be unable to control the camera's Pan/Tilt via ONVIF (the native Tapo App works fine).
Is PTZ control via ONVIF actually supported?
Thank you,
Dimitris

Hi, good day!
The Tapo camera supports the standard ONVIF protocol which allows users to control it through third-party software like Happytime ONVIF Client, ONVIF Device Manager, etc.
Please refer to FAQ: How can I play an RTSP live stream of my Tapo camera: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2680/ for more details.
But it does not support PTZ over ONVIF, and we have already reported the feedback to our R&D department.
For more updated news, please keep close attention to our official websites.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

I've recently purchased Tapo C200, which promised ONVIF support.
I'm using Netcam Studio and I get video + audio from the camera, however, no PTZ, which it of critical importance to me.
Very disappointing and I will definitely discourage everyone in Netcam Studio community to avoid this brand's cameras.

@Brook Dear Brook, any news on when the Tapo C200 will support PTZ via ONVIF? I just purchased the camera but I don't want it without PTZ over ONVIF. Thank you very much.

Which brand worked with Blue Iris? I'm looking for several more of these cameras, but obviously tp-link cameras are a no-go. A big loss for tp-link saleswise for such a little feature oversight.

I believe Reolink E1 pro PTZ works with BlueIris

What camera did You buy?
I switched from Dlink. they had everyting I needed but decided to kill externa, video access. So i thought TPlink will be my choice from now on.

Just updated today to firmware version 1.1.11 and ONVIF PTZ is working.
A bit clunky on iSpy but it works.

anybody tried the PTZ controls over BlueIris?
C200 (or any tapo for that matter) does not show up in the camera models to choose from, so not sure how to configure it.
Thanks!
