Issue connecting KP105's
Have purchased 4x KP105 smart plugs. Having purchased HS100's I thought this was going to be a breeze.
I have tried all the plugs and not 1 want's to connect to my network.
I go through the installations process, the app connects to my wifi but then when requested to go to my settings and connect to the plug, it connects in settings but then returning to the app it says connection failed. I have moved the plugs right next to the router to help connect but this hasn't made a difference.

Have you enabled the VPN connection on the smartphone?
--if yes, please temporarily turn off the VPN;
Since some phones would automatically jump away from the Wi-Fi that had no internet service or no security, did the TP-Link smart plug Wi-Fi still show up connected when the error connection failed showed up?
Have you tried on another smartphone to have a look?

@TP-Link Have checked my phone and VPN is not connected.
On my connections, prior to the install I am connected to my router with no issues. When the app requires me to connect to the plug this is fine and my phone connects (without apparent issue), however on returning to the app this is where is issue is.

I may have a similar issue. I too, purchased 4 KP105 Plugs [initially to be used for the Christmas Lights] and have been pulling my hair out trying to make them connect to my home Wi-Fi. I have a technicolor TG588v v2 router, provided by my ISP, The Utility Warehouse, set up in my office by my desktop PC. I know I am entering the correct Wi-Fi password but the plugs refuse to connect and the setup keeps asking me to check my spelling etc. etc.
I also have a TP-Link AV500 Passthrough Powerline Wi-Fi extender in the living room. In exasperation I tried to connect to my Wi-Fi through that [which has a different Wi-Fi Password] and 'Bang' straight in, no problem. So, although the Extender is quite a bit further away from the sockets I'm using the plugs in [one is about 8 feet from my router!] they connect!!
My mobile connects to the Wi-Fi network either through the extender or direct to the router, no problem and I've never had any issue connecting any other device. I noticed there is a post, elsewhere, stating a problem trying to connect tp-link smart plugs to a technicolor router so maybe that is where the issue lies I shall have a play with the router setting - maybe try adding the KP105 MAC to the router Access Control List. I'll come back if I solve it.

@KingAsh Hi, I just had a very similar problem to this - I could not progress past the network setup step, but I have managed to solve it.
My home WiFi network works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz simultaneously with the same SSID and password. My phone was on 5GHz, whereas the KP105s were on 2.4GHz and only support that band. I think this prevented the KP105s from correctly finding and connecting to the 2.4GHz network.
I solved this by logging into my router's configuration page and turning off the 5GHz WiFi network whilst I setup the KP105s. This forced everything to communicate on the 2.4GHz band during the setup phase. I reenabled the 5GHz after setup was completed and my network is behaving correctly.

Specifically at step 5, I separated the bands and turned off (rather than renaming) 5GHz.
I don't know if you have this specific problem, or indeed a BT router, but hopefully this will be of assitance to you.
