Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

When going through the app I cannot get past connecting to my plug and get the error "unable to connect to my smartplug wifi".

 

I have tried factory reset but nothing works. This is a plug I have used before, also opened a new one that connected first time.

 

Please help

Is your case the same like this one:

if yes, could you please check the following information:

1. Have you enabled the VPN connection on the smartphone?

---if yes, please disable it for a while;

2. Have you enable the local network permission for the Kasa APP if you use iPhone, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2937/ .
