No internet access when connected to OpenVPN
Hi all,
I have a Client-to-Site VPN with OpenVPN running on my TL-R605. This works perfectly fine on my iPhone, however I can only connect to local devices. Access to the internet is not working and that is annoying since I have to disconnect from the VPN to access internet resources.
I read the documentation but nothing is mentioned regarding additional configuration to access the internet.
How I configured the VPN:

@MauriceGee
It's actually way worse than that. This isn't even just a matter of beating the competition, it's a matter of false advertising. Omada is so far behind the competition on VPNs, it's not even worth mentioning it.

@Foobucket I agree... the current situation with them is not any good, which is unfortunate as that was one of the selling points that attracted me. Fortunately, it looks like the latest controller update (sadly for Windows only) has some improvements for this but they will also require firmware upgrades. There are several other features (such as mDNS) that are supported in the firmware but not in the router's firmware.
Hopefully this is resolved soon.

Hi,
Just reporting that I am facing the same issue with firmware version: 2.1.2 Build 20230210.
The only workaround I found is to change the OpenVPN tunnel to "Full mode", but then it would tunnel all of my traffic through the VPN, which I would like to avoid.
It seems to be a DNS issue, as I am able to ping internet IPs (such as Google's or Cloudflare DNS), but fail to query them over DNS using nslookup (nslookup google.com 8.8.8.8 times out).
This is my current setup:

Hi All,
For OpenVPN Full mode support, please refer to the following details:
1. As for Controller, the Software Controller has supported it from v5.8 and the Hardware Controller has released new firmware v5.9.32 recently to support the full mode either.
2. As for ER605 v1, a new official firmware v1.3.0 has been released and has supported this feature.
3. As for ER605 v2, it has supported the Full mode from official firmware v2.1.1.
4. As for ER7206, from the official firmware v1.3.0 start to support it.

@Hank21 Thanks.

There's an issue with the non-"Full-mode".
I am not able to access the internet when doing so (like others reported here as well).
