I was wondering if any more information about the Smart Doorbell has surfaced since it was announced? Or if anyone at TP Link has any new information on a release date.

@Solla-topee we’re now at the end of Jan 2022. Any updated ETA on this. It's pretty ridiculous at this point. If it's not going to be released at all, please do tell us. This has been "coming" since January of 2019!

I did not get updated news about this model, sometimes we got an estimated data, but that could be delayed.
It may come out in the US first, it is recommend to keep on eye on us kasa smart website

@Solla-topee I'm gonna go out on limb and say this is never coming. The link they posted still shows the KD100 text and not even the 110. Given its been 3 years since the initial announcement I'd say they have moved on.
My home has lots of Kasa switches and love the easy integration with google home so thought this would a nice add on. Guess better start looking elsewhere. I tried the nest doorbell but the battery doesn't hold up to cold weather near what the specs indicate so I returned it.
so tp link if you do come out with one consider a hardwired version with battery purely as back up if there is a power outage. Right now they all seem to be the opposite tech. Maybe include some warming technology to keep the device at optimal temp.

I agree. I go to CES each year and this year they entirely had dropped the Kasa system for the Tapo ecosystem. It's wuite disappointing since a lot of us invested a lot of money into the Kasa ecosystem, especially on smart switches. It's sad to see TP-Link completely disregard it.
If some other brand like Wyze starts making a full selection of dimmers I'm jumping ship. Cause they already have great cameras, doorbells, and a switch and plugs...oh and great support and customer service. So they really just need a dimmer and I'm gone.
