Hi

 

Can anyone tell me the power usage of the plug itself (not things that are plugged into it).

 

Just being nosey.

About 0.5W when switched off, 1.0 or 1.1 when switched on.

Thanks for the reply good to know it uses less power than the the thing plugged into it on standby.

Actually one of mine is on the TV as I was troubleshooting high (12W) power when the TV was in standby.  Now that's resolved it draws "<1W" on standby, according to the P110, or 0.1W according to my standalone monitor. Taking manufacturer's figure of 0.5W it means leaving the P110 in place triples the power used by the TV on standby.

 

To put it another way leaving the P110 online monitoring costs around £3.00 per year.
