I have two smart plugs. With the first one, I had to try updating 3-5 times. It always completed but then "Firmware" would show that it still had an update available.

 

Now I'm trying to update this HS110. Every time I tell it to update the firmware, it successfully downloads and after a few moments, says the update is complete. However, when I exit and go back, the update is still there and the firmware version hasn't changed.

 

What is going on? Is it doing anything?

 Hi  @JensK 

You could try to connect your phone to the Home Wifi network, which the plug has connected to.

Reboot your plug and try update the firmware again 

If this does not ,try a factory reset and reinstall it in the app, usually at the end of setup process, plug receives the latest firmware. 

 

If still the same , may I have a photo of the firmware & hardware verion of the plug, please share your Tp-Link ID and MAC address of the plug with us via private message, thank you.

Same issue with my HS110 - Hardware version 1.0. 

 

Using Kasa Smart iPhone app version 3.1.4 - shows that a 1.2.6 update is available, appears to load it successfully, but the device remains at 1.2.5 and the undate prompts reappear.
