Any chance you can open a simple API to these devices, home automation / monitoring is now so commonplace that to NOT have an API seems very short sighted.
I'm new to Tapo devices so if there is an API available can you let me know where it's published , I've seen a few other requests on here with the same ask and all seem to have been closed with no comment ?

If anyone else reading this has successfully completed an integration I'd appreciate any info you could share !!

I recently bought an energy monitoring smart plug. I'm also keen to use an API so I can integrate actions into my Shortcuts app on my phone. I came across this: pypi[dot]org/project/tplink-cloud-api/

That is a Python project, I think it should have API endpoints in the code files. I did find this "https://wap.tplinkcloud.com/" but that appears to only be for smart cameras. You might have more luck than me finding something usable.
