Hi, using the p110 smart plugs and can't seem to get Google to realise the plugs are not off.. Google can turn them on no problem, used them for years, but the last few weeks when I try to turn them off it says they are already off. I've unlinked tapo with Google.. Both ways.. But still no joy. Any ideas? Auto updates are on and firmwear is the latest versions. Cheers

If the problem still exists, please share the results of the tests you have done here, we'll help to check it.

  @Iolorin77 I managed to sort it really simply.. 🤦 I had tried turning off the Google nests and my router etc.. But I never turned the plugs off. Turns them off and back on again and they all worked.

What's the model, hardware and firmware version of your tapo plug? 

 

Make sure the Tapo plug can be controlled both locally and remotely with Tapo APP. 

1. If Tapo APP controls the plug correctly and the problem is only on the Google Home control, please check whether you have ever enabled the Auto Off Timer (Device Settings---Auto Off Timer) function. 

 

Try to enable the Auto Off Timer when the error occurs, then test the Google control again. (Auto Off timer can be disabled immediately if its not needed.)

 

2. If the plug only works locally with Tapo APP, please refer to Case 2 in this instruction: What should I do if I cannot control my Tapo smart devices (smart plug, smart camera, smart lighting)?

 

Reconnect Tapo skill with Google Home after the remote control turns normal. How to connect my Tapo device (smart plug, smart camera, smart lighting) to Google Home

I switched off (and back on) one of my plugs, and all worked!
