Good morning. I am looking for an alternative way of powering my tapo cameras due to the size of the power adaptor. I have been looking at outdoor power supply boxes but am unsure if the adaptor will fit inside. Is it possible to use a USB lead with the appropriate connector and connect it to a USB charger?

Hi,
I find the Power Connectors page of the Tapo C500 on its UG as below picture. If you can share the link about the USB lead you want to use to power the Tapo C500 here, it may help to judge if it can work with the C500.

  @Summer_S Thanks for replying. I think I can get the appropriate connector to plug into the camera, but I was asking, could I then connect the USB side to a generic charger?

As per the Tapo C500's Datasheet, the original power adapter should be a DC power adapter and its output is 12V/1A. If the generic charger has the same power spec, I think you can have a try.
