Red LEDs but everything works
I have TP-Link Deco S7 AC1900 pack of three. Nearly every morning the main unit is solid red and the two satellites are flashing red. A reboot of the main unit fixes it until the next day. Even when red everything works fine (streaming UHD HDR TV and ~40 connected clients).
My set up is: Virgin Media Super Hub 3 in modem mode, 250Mbps BB. I get between 200 Mbps and 270 Mbps on my phone using speedtest app. TP Link App says everything looks good. Operation Mode WiFi Router, fast Roaming enabled and Beamforming enabled. LED Control set to be off.
Just the lights flashing red.

Thanks for the reply. After Googling what a local DNS server is , no I don’t have one, or a filter. Virgin hub is in modem mode and Deco S7s are as they came out the box, except for the settings to get them connected. Nothing else on the Network except the usual clients.
Some differences compared to the link you posted is that the web browser login to the Deco and the Android App both say everything is working normally, no faults. And I have the LEDs set to off but they are on and red (same again this morning). Something is happening overnight.
Edit: I’ve just noticed something odd with the LAN IP Addresses, I’ll update later.
Update: Years ago I used to have two wifi networks, 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1. Nowadays I only have one but I kept the 192.168.1.1 as the LAN IP. I notice that the Main Deco unit is 192.168.1.1 (which I set) but the satellites have taken 192.168.0.n as their IPs. Possibly this is the issue. I have set IP to 192.168.0.1 to test.

@Tim_7 This seems to have fixed the problem . I’d be interested to know why the satellites don’t take the same IP address range as the main unit though?

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.
You could check the LAN subnet mask to see whether it is 255.255.255.0 or 255.255.252.0.
If it is the second one, 192.168.0.xxx/255.255.252.0 is actually in the same IP range as 192.168.1.1/255.255.252.0.

Thanks. The LAN subnet mask is 255.255.252.0 which I think was the default. Would 255.255.255.0 be better (more robust)?
On the subject of LEDs mine is very much like the second of the two links. I do have a schedule set AND the LEDs set to be Off. The LEDs follow the schedule even though the LED Off setting should override this.

Hi,
using 192.168.0.1/255.255.252.0 grants you a larger LAN IP range from 192.168.0.1 to 3.254.
While 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 gives a LAN IP range of 192.168.0.1-0.254.
So 252.0 will be more robust.
