Hi all, 
I have many TAPO products in my house and I am very happy !!
However, yesterday, the Tapo T110 sensor that I have on the warehouse door showed on my mobile a status of closed while its status was already closed !!??

and the door was untouched

how is this possible??

for your information, 2 weeks ago the hub was upgraded so below are the info for the Tapo H100 

Hardware Version = V1

Firmware Version = 1.5.5 Build 240105 Rel.192438

 

is it a bug?

I am sending you attached image so you can see versions of my software

(Note also to a colleague who has also taken this TAPO product to his own house in another area on the same T110 sensor, he also had the same problem and in fact on the same day...!! )

 

Please some help cause its a big security issue my warehouse door...

I notice that the signal strength on both H100 hub and the sensor T110 is very weak. Weak or unstable connections may lead to delayed notification or no notification at all.

 

What's the distance between the H100 and the router? How about the distance between H100 and the T110 sensor? 

 

In your case, try to relocate the Tapo hub and see if you can find a suitable spot where Tapo hub can receive a strong signal from router, and the sensor can also maintain a stable connection with the hub.

 

You may monitor if this happens again.

Thank you very much for the reply !

 

This is how my house is configured, neither the router nor the hub nor the sensor can be moved to another location.

 

Also important is that my colleague who had the same problem has an excellent signal from the router to the hub and from the sensor to the hub in his own home !!

 

Finally, let me remind you that the problem was that the sensor showed me closed when it was already closed.

And in general it works immediately and perfectly with this sick signal when I open the door it immediately shows me the notification on my mobile !!

 

So I think it's a bug.


I work as an IT/IS engineer in a large company and I am related to technological products and s/w, and that is why I am reporting the problem to you.

From what I can see, the cause of a single incident is hard to locate. Especially when everything returns to normal now. ( Is that correct? )
