KE100 - Grinding noise on close after latest software update
I updated to the latest firmware the other day after receiving a notification to do so. Since then, both KE100's make a grinding noise when closing the valve after heating to the desired temperature. On the previous version of firmware this did not happen, the closing (and opening) noise was the normal electronic hum sound.
Note: I've tried recalibrating and the grinding noise when closing persists on both units.

Hi, so i did the same and no grinding when actuator not fitted to valve, good the same, but i think the damage may already be done to the actuator drive as when its trying to press the valve pin in under pressure the drive is not working correctly to close?

Still no information from TP-Link?
Is damage being done? To the actuators, to the valve on the radiators?
Can TP-Link please at least tell us if they are investigating, or are they burying their heads in the sand? If the latter, can I get a refund on my 10 valves please as I cannot afford to employ a plumber to fix more damaged radiator valves.

Relevant optimization has been rolled out in firmware 2.8.0, which is on stage release.
If your device hasn't received this new version and you would like to get early access to it, please reach out by sending a private message to @Wayne-TP with the following format '[Forum ID 652986] KE100 Grinding Noise +Device's Mac address'.
The following information is needed for sending firmware.
1) Device's Mac address.
2) Your TP-Link ID (email) to which the KE100 is linked.

Do you know if the current problem may cause damages to the heads or radiators?
Or is it safe to wait until the public release of new firmware.
And in this case, when could we expect it?
