TAPO RV30 PLUS mapping issue
Hi,
I am having mapping issues with RV30 PLUS. After every full home cleaning, map is getting shifted or rotating. Is it possible to save a map and load again.

The map is automatically updated after each cleaning. If the robot vacuum experiences wheel slippage or spins while cleaning, such as on a slippery surface or long-pile carpet, these extra movements will be reported to the app. That will make the updated map does not match the actual environment.
For the RV30 and RV30C series, you can use the map Backup & Restore feature to avoid this kind of incorrect map issue. Restore the correct map if you find the map shifts.
For other Tapo robot vacuums, you can use the Lock Map feature to avoid the map getting auto-updated.

I understand that there is a new firmware coming soon that supports map backup and restore. If you are interested and wish to try it out early, you can send me your device Mac address via private message.

I am also having this issue. The Robovac will not go to the requested rooms & the Map outline is the same but rooms/sections seem incorrect? What is the fix for this without having to re-map my home again? This is not a viable options especially if there are accessibility issues.
I have already restarted the robovac & completed a "soft reset".
Please advise ASAP.

I've had the same issue a few times. The rooms I've just cleaned are offset by about a metre to the left, causing gabled maps with overlapping features. Worse, it means my no-go zones (e.g. for pet food/water) are misaligned so the robot will go crashing into them!
Restoring an older map is one workaround, however, one typically doesn't realise the map has been shifted until the robot heads somewhere it shouldn't, by which point it's too late.

i have also had this issue, numerous times. I have restored a previously saved map, but have to do this everytime is does a full house clean.
This isn't a suitable solution, to have to keep restoring maps.
Is there a complete solution?, as if not, I will likely be returning it.any thanks.

Hi,
I also have this frustrating problem. My map moves down about a one meter. The map's floor plan moves, but the map's walls and no-go-zones do not.
As a result all the rooms are incorrect, and the vac tries the clean tiny portions of incorrect rooms, or tries to navigate to areas that do not exist. Additionally, all the no-go-zones are incorrect as they have also shifted by one meter.
Unfortunately, I don't have a "clean" map to restore from, so I'll need to remap the house again.
It's such a starnge error and hope it's fixed asap.
