In case you’re not aware, it’s important to note that using a smart switch to directly control a smart light bulb is not the recommended approach. This configuration essentially negates the smart capabilities of the bulb, as it loses its ability to function as a smart device when the smart switch is turned off.
A smart switch controls the power supply to any connected device, including smart bulbs. Turning off the smart switch cuts off both power and network connection to the bulb. Without power, the bulb cannot receive or respond to commands from the app, including status updates. Consequently, any operations attempted via the app will not be executed by the bulb, and its status may not update in real-time, leading to potential delays or inaccuracies.
To maximize the benefits of your smart bulb and switch, use them with non-smart devices. For example, install regular bulbs in fixtures controlled by the smart switch, and place smart bulbs in standard sockets. This ensures that each device can fully utilize its smart capabilities without interference.
