Model: HS220
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.1

Is there any difference between the kasa HS220 V3.26 and the HS220 V3.0 in terms of how it communicates with the app?

I have 4 HS220 v3.0 working with the homebridge and the HS220 v3.26 can not be discovered by homebridge.

Is there any difference with how the new HS200 v3.26  communicate with the app?

Maybe different protocol as opposed to UDP? Maybe different packet contents?

Thanks,

Jimmy

  @JimmyRodriguez

Checked HS220 V3.26 datasheet, and I'm surprised to find out that the configuration method varies depending on the color of the casing. But not sure if that's relevant to your case?

  @GabrielMitch that is indeed interesting. I have the white one so I connected via wifi. It is interesting that the interface for the 3.26 switch is different in the kasa app. We get 5 brightness preset instead of 4 brightness preset. There is more device settings as well. That's why I figured the protocol might be different.
