I have an issue when switching to AP mode on my Archer AX55. I am connected with an Ethernet cable and in the default wireless mode it works fine, albeit with a different network than my main one. So the goal is to "extend" my main WiFi connection via wire.

When switching to AP mode, the Archer reboots. But then signals there is no internet connection. The internet LED is also orange.

Am I missing a step? All the TP-link guides I followed don't mention any. It should be fairly plug and play, except for me. 😅

The Archer is up to date with the latest firmware as of 25th May 2024.

Use this guide for configuring AX55 AP mode (Case 1).

When AX55 is in AP mode configure its LAN IP address in the same subnet as your main router, i.e. if your main router is with LAN IP address 192.168.1.1 then set AX55 LAN IP address 192.168.1.254 (static). Also set AX55 DHCP server to off.
