Model: Tapo P110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 2.30905 Rel 152200

TP-Link, PLEASE provide and publish a local network API for querying/controlling these devices.  For me it would only need to work on the local network, not the cloud.  I have several P110s, and want to aggregate energy usage from them in real time.  I already have a Raspberry Pi running my own software, monitoring my solar array output.  I would very much like to incorporate energy usage figures from the P110s in the monitoring, so i can see how the usage looks against what is being generated.

I am aware that a few people have reverse-engineered the Tapo protocol, and I have tried to take up what they have done, but I have not had any success with it.  And the risk with unofficial tools like this is that they can be made useless overnight by a firmware or App upgrade from TP-LInk.  Please consider providing this officially.  It could be made reasonably secure with some form of authentication as the current protocol has.  But I am quite prepared to accept any risk in using such an API in my own software, on my own network.
