I have D230S1 Doorbell and H200 Hub. The connection status is fine. (Doorbell signal "-67(RSSI)", Hub connected with ethernet cable)

 

When I try to watch the Live View of the doorbell, everyting works fine.

 

But whenever I try "Video Playback" from the SD card inserted to H200 hub (via Tapo mobile app), it doesn't work. No thumbnails, no videos.

 

It seems there are some recorded events and timestamps, but nothing works. 

Whenever I touch one of thoese events, I can only see an error message saying "Network is unstable. Please try again later."

 

I think the SD card is fine. I can watch videos on SD card when insterted to my laptop and they are absolutely fine. 

I tried many different SD cards (Sony, Samsung, Sandisk), formatting SD card in Tapo app, rebooting every devices, and reset-reconnecting every devices.

 

None of them worked, still I can't use "Video playback" on Tapo app.

 

Is this software issue? or hardware issue? What shoud I do?

What's the firmware version of your Tapo H200? Did you choose not to record sound for the recording videos?

 

If the Record Sound in camera Storage & Recording settings is disabled, try to enable it and monitor whether the subsequent videos (with sound) can be played normally.

 

 

If anyone else encounters issues with your Tapo SubG cameras (linking with Tapo H200 hub), check the problem matches the case described in this article. Can't Watch Playback or Camera Blinking Red When Watching Liveview after Updating H200 to 1.3.4

Thank you, everything works fine after enabling the Record Sound feature. But the Tapo App warns me that "According to local regulations, recording sound of CCTV camera can be punished." So I think I can't use it forever in that way. Is this a software bug that is going to be patched?, or just technical limitations that can't be fixed?

Can you send the Mac address of your H200 to me via PM? A beta firmware is available with relevant fixes, and it will be added to the future production firmware soon.
