Tapo SubGHz cameras associated with the H200 (firmware version 1.3.4)

 

 

Description

 

After updating the Tapo H200 hub to firmware 1.3.4, cameras connected to the hub may experience the following issues:

 

  • Case One

  1. Unable to view the camera live stream and the playback videos stored in the MicroSD card.
  2. Camera's LED indicator flashes red when attempting to view the live stream

 

  • Case Two

  1. Able to view the live stream but not playback videos.
  2. A "Network Unstable" error message appears when trying to watch the playback videos stored on the MicroSD card.
  3. The recording setting has chosen not to record sound. (Tapo App -> Camera Settings -> Storage & Recording -> Record Sound)

If at any point your camera does not match what is described in the two cases above, please post a new thread with separate feedback on your product issue. Partially similar symptoms do not necessarily indicate the same cause. Addressing them together may hinder effective advice or solutions.

08/05/2024 Update

Production firmware 1.3.5 Build 20240726 rel.48294 for Tapo H200 with relevant fixes is now released.

  @Wayne-TP same problem here after the last firmware update to 1.3.4.

after reboot h200 and enable the sound record for all cams all is working fine now.

(In my case, I have experienced both problems - h200 blinking red and green and issues regarding network unstable trying access recordings)

Hi.

Same problem here.

After the update of today, build 1.3.5, everything stopped working, no more playback, user interface extrême extremely slow, impossible to use it.

Hope TP-link comes with a patch, otherweise is good to garbage.

This solution is ONLY applicable to the two problem scenarios mentioned in the article.

 

If your product does not fully match the symptoms described in those two cases, then it is not within the scope of this solution. Please feedback separately.

  @Wayne-TP after updating my H200 hub last week with the new firmware my red/green light went. But I've just noticed it's back flashing red/green again today. The only change was an update to a lightbulb this morning. I've rebooted the H200 and it's still flashing. The cameras seem to be operating normally.

Any ideas?
