I have bought this to allow me to register power outages on my home, and it seems it does not register them. Am I doing something wrong?

When a power outage occurs, the smart plug will naturally lose power as well, and it will not be able to record data during the power outage.

  @Wayne-TP thanks for your reply. 

 

But I totally disagree: you can register the time the power stoped when it was not intentional and then when it came back. It would be an easy log to track.
