Short cut not working.
Hi,
i am in the early stages of setting up a alarm system using Tapo door/window sensors, hub and button.
I have got the hub and sensor to arm when the button is presssed once and disarm when pressed twice.
I have also set up 2 short cuts. Arm and Disarm. These both work well also.
If we forget to arm the devices when leaving home I use the shirt cut (Arm).
The issue I am having is if I arm the sensor via the short cut(Arm). Then try to disarm the sensor using the button it does not work.
I have to disarm via the short cut (Disarm).
Would any body be able to advise how I can arm the sensor via the short cut, but be able to disarm using the button please ?
Thanks

@Wayne-TP Thanks for responding.
The smart button and sensor automation is:
double tap
Turn off ON Automation
Silence Hub
Turn of sensor notifications.
Thank you.

Did you receive any error messages after executing the shortcut? What makes you think the shortcut failed to run?
Based on your description, it seems the issue occurs only when arm automation is enabled by the shortcut at the first place, correct? If you enable the arm automation by pressing the smart button or do it directly in the app (tap to enable the automation entry) and then run the "disarm" shortcut, does it work as intended?
Please share screenshots of your automation and shortcut setup, as well as the error (if any) here. You may update the pictures to personal cloud drive and send a link here. Or you can send it to me privately through message.

Hi Wayne, sorry for the delay in getting back been away for a couple of days.
I am not getting any error messages.
If I set and unset the alarm with the button everything works as it should.
If I set and unset the alarm with the short cuts everything works fine.
if I set the alarm with the short cut and try to unset with the button the alarm doesn't turn off, I have to use the short cut to turn it off.
If I arm the alarm with the button it does disarm using the short cut.
You are correct in that the issue occurs only when arm automation is enabled by the shortcut at the first place.
