WOW, luckily I came across this and read it all... now I have some doubts about whether to keep the KE100 I just bought or return them...

@webpleasure  Overall, the hardware is pretty decent, and I really like the entire Tapo ecosystem. However, it's been about three months, and I haven’t seen a single update for any of the products, which makes it hard to predict if or when updates will come (if at all).

I still use them in my living room and bathrooms, and they generally manage to maintain the desired temperature, though this is achieved through somewhat chaotic adjustments.

In the bedrooms, I’ve switched back to a classic thermostat. While it’s not perfect either, it’s quiet and generally more stable.

Water radiators contribute to thermal comfort not only by heating the air but also through thermal radiation, so shutting them down to 0% during winter isn’t a good idea. Hopefully, TP-Link’s software engineers will recognize this and work on improving the algorithm.

This is so disappointing, it is snowing outside and my radiator is cold before it reaches target temperature. There is nothing smart about this, I can't even increment by 0.5C to compensate for not reaching the temperature unless I go up an entire celcius.

It would actually be easier is TPLINK let us override the valve opening. I already use home assistant to turn on my boiler to work with these valves.

It is suppose to maintain room temperature by finding the perfect valve opening position not stop cooling completely.

I am actually quite frustrated since I replaced my manual valves for this junk that can't even heat to a temp I want, let alone maintain it.
