Tapo devices show off line in APP when phone connected via local wireless network (As used by the TAPO devices) but online when the phone is on 4G/5G network. All devices work fine with smart home and schedules etc when showing off line in the APP.

Please check if there are any special settings on your WiFi network that are preventing communication between your phone and smart devices locally. For example, local DNS server settings, AP isolation, and similar security configurations.

 

Do you have another phone or tablet? Does this happen on all mobile devices?

 

Try to enable a hotspot WiFi with another phone and configure one smart device to it, check if similar problem occurs when the smart device is on another network.
